Q: How can you change the world?

Have you ever wanted to change the world? Make a real difference? Like most of us, you probably have wanted to, but you quickly discerned it was a daunting task. How can I, just one little person, make any changes that will affect the entire planet? Perhaps you just chalked it up to youthful idealism and went on your way. But, it might surprise you to know that you CAN change the world in a definite and meaningful way. And it’s as close as the street you live on.

A: PRAY.

That’s right. You can change the world through prayer. From the comfort of your own home, you can make a difference in the way this planet operates. Prayer changes things. If you have any doubt, just reread the words of scripture that tell us – no, command us – to pray.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks find; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22

“How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you.” Isaiah 30:19

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we ask of him.” 1 John 5:14-15

“Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here I am.” Isaiah 58:9

“He will call upon me, and I will answer him.” Psalm 91:15

We are looking for people who believe in the power of prayer to join us in this high calling. Commit to pray for the people on your street, your office, the floor of your apartment building, any group God puts on your heart – the possibilities are endless. And in turn, we’ll pray for you!

Every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., we’ll pray for you. And each Friday, we’ll pray for your group (if you have one) during the same hours. Click on the registration link to give us your name, the street/office/apartment building you’re praying for and your country. Of course, you don’t have to officially register your praying work if you don’t want to – just pray! But at the same time, we don’t want you to miss the opportunity to be prayed for yourself!

Just remember that God tells us his phone number in Jeremiah 33:3, ““Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” God’s phone number is PRAYER!! Call God and join us in changing the world!
